The Obama campaign is reporting that it raised a record $ 181 million in the month of September alone. According to campaign FEC filings for September, the money came from 1.8 million individual donors, many overseas, and over 500,000 of whom had never donated before.

Couple sought in stolen credit card use
News from Fox 40 Jackson:

The two are wanted for questioning in regards to using a stolen credit card at the Wal-Mart in Ridgeland for over $ 300.00 and at a Beer & Tobacco Store for over $ 100.00 in Ridgeland on October 6, 2012 just after lunch.  The card was stolen in an auto burglary in Jackson earlier that morning.

The suspects are driving a white four door car possibly a Mazda.

The male and female and their car are pictured in the attached surveillance stills.

Average credit card debt falls 22% in Alabama

Alabama’s credit card debt dropped 22 percent over the past year.

Alabama’s average credit card debt and mortgage balance is dropping, but so is the average credit score for state residents.

According to a new report from Credit Karma, the average credit card debt for Alabama residents was $ 4,581 in September 2012. That’s down 22 percent from the same month in 2012, and is the third lowest in the nation.

The average mortgage balance also dropped to $ 121,725 from $ 129,483.

However, because the laws changed in 2005, you may not qualify for a Chapter 7 filing, in which your credit card debt would be eliminated in full.
